About the album
Ohms, released in 2020 on Reprise Records, is Deftones' ninth studio album, described as alternative metal, shoegaze and post-hardcore, with Classic Rock calling it "dream pop with a metallic edge." It was produced by Terry Date, their first collaboration since the unreleased Eros. The title track and "Genesis" were the two singles that preceded the album, and were nominated at the 64th Grammy Awards for Best Rock Performance and Best Metal Performance, respectively. Critics received it with acclaim, and Metacritic lists a weighted average of 87 out of 100.
