About the album
Released in 1977, Slowhand found Clapton settling into a relaxed, song-focused groove with Glyn Johns producing and a tight band behind him. It is one of his most commercially and critically successful studio albums, and it produced the hit singles "Lay Down Sally" and "Wonderful Tonight."
