About the album
Released in September 2011, Heritage is Opeth's turn away from death metal growls toward a progressive rock sound the band had wanted to pursue for some time. Clean vocals, Mellotron and Hammond organ, and flute on one track sit alongside what The Guardian's Dom Lawson called the "warm, analogue tones and shimmering mellotrons of the pre-punk 70s." It drew mixed reactions on arrival, with critics praising its boldness and many longtime fans objecting to the change in style. It's a record that rewards patience.

Condition: the cream digibook shows edge wear and light shelf wear; both discs are clean in near mint condition!
