About the album
Repentless arrived in 2015 as Slayer's first album recorded without guitarist Jeff Hanneman, who died in 2013. Kerry King wrote most of the songs, Gary Holt, who had been filling in for Hanneman at live shows, took over on guitar, and Paul Bostaph, who replaced Dave Lombardo, returned on drums. It is the band's twelfth and final studio album.
