About the album
Released in October 1972, Can't Buy a Thrill is Steely Dan's debut studio album, written by Walter Becker and Donald Fagen and pairing a stylistically eclectic sound with philosophical, elliptical lyrics. Steely Dan was a five-piece band when the sessions began, with Fagen handling most of the lead vocals; David Palmer was recruited partway through and sang lead on "Dirty Work" and "Brooklyn (Owes the Charmer Under Me)." "Do It Again" and "Reelin' In the Years" were the popular singles, and Elliott Randall played lead guitar on "Reelin' In the Years."

Hard to find copy! Media looks in Excellent Plus condition. Case / insert / booklet are: Excellent Plus (EX+): original smooth edge case shows normal shelf wear and age, not cracked not broken.
