About the album
Released on October 3, 2025, The Life of a Showgirl arrived after Taylor Swift's Eras Tour, the highest-grossing tour of all time, and reunited her with producers Max Martin and Shellback. It followed The Tortured Poets Department as her twelfth studio album, a thematically consistent pop record built around showgirl imagery. The title track features guest vocals from Sabrina Carpenter, and the upbeat production is full of pop hooks, though its subdued, relaxed arrangements differ from her earlier work with Martin and Shellback.
