About the album

Released in 1976 after the group had already dissolved, this double live set gathers performances recorded between 1972 and 1975. It documents the mid-1970s line-up with pianist Chuck Leavell and bassist Lamar Williams, and includes "Southbound," "In Memory of Elizabeth Reed" and "Jessica." It didn't attract much praise or attention at the time and suffered by comparison to At Fillmore East, but Chuck Leavell and Jaimoe later spoke favorably of it, and some performances, such as "Southbound," are strong.
