About the album
The Obsessed's self-titled debut was released in 1990 by Hellhound Records; all of its songs were recorded in 1985 for an intended Metal Blade album that never came out. Scott "Wino" Weinrich handled vocals, guitar and production, with Mark Laue on bass and Ed Gulli on drums, and the release prompted him to leave Saint Vitus and reform the band with a new rhythm section. The tracklist includes "Tombstone Highway" and "Red Disaster," the latter co-written by Weinrich and Laue.
