About the album
Out Of Our Heads caught the Stones mid-transformation in 1965, still steeped in the American R&B and soul they revered but beginning to find their own footing as writers. The US and UK editions had different covers and track listings, and the American version contains "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction," the band's first number-one U.S. hit, which also topped the charts in 10 other countries, including the UK. Alongside soul covers such as Sam Cooke's "Good Times" sit band originals like "The Last Time." It's a snapshot of a band absorbing its influences and starting to outgrow them.
