About the album

By 1987 the Thompson Twins were down to the duo of Tom Bailey and Alannah Currie, returning with Close To The Bone after a break from music in 1986. Bailey described it as "a little rawer, a little closer to the truth, than anything we had done before," and it drew on a painful year for the pair. The single "Get That Love" reached number 31 on the Billboard Hot 100.
