Collector Notes: Toña la Negra is a Veracruz icon — Agustín Lara wrote Lamento Jarocho specifically for her voice, and she went on to popularize his Noche Criolla and Veracruz until both were inseparable from her name. There's a statue of her in Veracruz's main plaza to this day. Booklet shows 1 deep dent on the top side from the plastic holders, but nothing major.
