About the album

Released in 1996, October Rust has more ballads and less of the doom metal sound of the band's previous or subsequent albums. Peter Steele handles lead vocals and bass and Josh Silver plays keyboards on an album that includes "Love You to Death" and "My Girlfriend's Girlfriend," along with a cover of "Cinnamon Girl" by Neil Young and Crazy Horse. It is considered the band's best album among fans.
